We Are Scientists Down Under (Presented by StereoDan)

Shortly after Splendour in the Grass Festival I caught up with Keith, Chris and Danny (aka. We Are Scientists) to have a quick chat about their thoughts on performing in Australia. Having just released their 5th studio album "Barbara" it was great to see them perform their spanking brand new tracks alongside their well known favorites to a rambunctious audience!

Although clearly still feeling the effects of jet lag the boys shared with me some of their closely guarded secret techniques for overcoming performance anxiety and fear of Australian people. The audience at Splendour certainly wasn't aware of any apprehension as the band smashed through their set in a belligerent manner.  Speaking to one young enthusiastic fan about what she would say to vocalist Keith Murray if she got the chance, I was met with the statement "I'd tell him that I'm hot and do you want to go out with me?!" No mucking around there!

Back in Sydney while chatting with the band they mentioned they would like to come back to Australia sometime soon in the near future (although it might be a little too soon for Big Day Out) and they will most likely return in 2012 sometime.
